Three of a series of lakes in northern Wisconsin are represented by a special lake feature in GFLOW whereby the lake stage is calculated based on the lake water balance, rather than being specified in advance. The three lakes in question are light blue with dark surrounding polygons. The light blue polygons of the lake are line-sink strings, the surrounding dark polygons are inhomogeneity areas that cancel the areal recharge due to precipitation on the lake. The precipitation and evapotranspiration for the lakes are specified separately as part of the lake water balance.
